The second day of the 50th National Indoor Athletics Championships was held in Nyíregyháza, at the Nyíregyháza Athletics Centre, and was full of exciting competitions and national records. The best of Hungarian athletics performed outstandingly and several new records were set.

In the women's competition, Boglárka Takács was outstanding, setting a national record not only in the 60m but also in the 200m flat. The BHSE athlete won the race in 23.56 seconds, breaking the record set by Irén Orosz in 1982 (23.61). The silver medal went to Alexa Sulyán, who set a new national record for U23 and U20 (23.70). Janka Molnár finished third in 24.32 seconds.

In the men's 200m, Zoltán Wahl was the leader (21.28), followed by Patrik Bundschu (21.31) and Dániel Eszes (21.46) in second and third place.

In the women's 60m hurdles, Gréta Kerekes won the gold medal (7.96), ahead of her Debrecen clubmate Luca Kozák, who finished as silver medallist (8.01), while Anna Tóth took bronze (8.05), setting the U23 national record. The men's 60m hurdles was won by Bálint Szeles (7.74), ahead of Dániel Eszes and Ákos Felber Farkas.

In the 800m, Balázs Vindics (men) and Bianka Kéri (women) were the best performers, both winning the gold medal.

István Palkovits was a confident winner in the 3000m (8:01.55), while Lilla Böhm topped the podium in the women's field (9:15.54).

There were also some outstanding results in other events, for example Beatrix Szabó won the women's triple jump with 13 metres, while Márton Böndör won the men's pole vault.

In the 4x400 relay, FTC won the men's event, while MATE-GEAC triumphed in the women's event.

After the event, Géza Scheidler, Director of Sport of the Hungarian Athletics Federation, praised the performance of the competitors, highlighting the close competition and the celebration of the 50th anniversary.
