Budapest's Attila Molnár put in an impressive performance in the men's 400m short track event. The talented athlete of the FTC broke the national record with a time of 46.22 seconds in Nyíregyháza, triumphing at the Nyíregyháza Sports Centre's open competition on 20 January.

This national record is particularly interesting as Attila Molnár not only broke the current record but also the record of 46.37 seconds set by Tamás Molnár of Nyíregyháza in 1990. The two Molnár's names are thus intertwined in the history of Hungarian athletics, and the current generation continues to break old records.

Another exciting day of competition awaits us on Saturday 27 January at the Nyíregyháza Athletics Centre.
