On Sunday 19 January, the Nyíregyháza Open international athletics competition was held, where the first outstanding event of the indoor season took place. Nearly 800 races were held, with the best athletes of the country and several foreign athletes competing.
The event was a world ranking competition where athletes could gain valuable points for the upcoming European and World Indoor Championships. The Nyíregyháza Sportcentrum team participated with a delegation of fifty athletes and achieved outstanding results.

In addition to the medal finishes, several Nyíregyháza athletes gained valuable places in the prestigious field.
In the continuation, another international competition awaits the athletes on 9 February, and then Nyíregyháza will host the Indoor National Championships again on 22-23 February.
