On Saturday, September 26, cyclists will once again take over the streets of Nyíregyháza: Bringaváros is being held for the ninth time. This year, the Nyíregyháza Athletics Center is joining this popular family-friendly recreational sports event, so cyclists can also stop by the facility located at 4 Tiszavasvári Road.
The goal of Bringaváros remains the same year after year: to encourage as many people as possible to be active, to promote cycling, and to explore different parts of Nyíregyháza in a fun way. Participants can set out with a stamp collection booklet and visit the city’s bike stations at their own pace.
This year’s program features 24 stamp collection locations, 14 of which also serve as registration points. Those who visit all the stations can cycle nearly 60 kilometers. Participants will receive gifts after collecting 12, 17, or 24 stamps, and a bicycle will be raffled off among those who complete all 24 points.
The program begins at 8:30 a.m., and stamps can be collected until 3:00 p.m. The event is free, and additional activities await participants at Kossuth Square.
