On September 5, a special atmosphere filled the Nyíregyháza Athletics Center, where the VE-LED Futok nighttime fun run was held for the first time. Young and old, families and groups of friends ran together on the track illuminated by colorful lights, creating a true community experience.

The event was made even more special by the fact that it took place just two days before the blood moon on September 7. According to moon-related beliefs, the full moon is a time of strength and renewal – so it is no coincidence that the runners covered the laps with extra enthusiasm during the night.

Programs that got the audience moving

The organizers prepared a variety of programs so that everyone could find something they enjoyed:

  • Warm-up training and joint stretching – led by professional trainers to ensure that no one starts with cold muscles.
  • Children's races – even the youngest participants could try running in the light.
  • 5 km fun run – the most popular distance, completed by families, friends, and amateur athletes.
  • 10 km challenge – for those who wanted a greater test of strength under the stars.
  • LED show and musical accompaniment – spectacular lights and upbeat rhythms provided extra motivation for the runners.

A communal experience under the lights

The nighttime fun run was not about competition, but about participants enjoying the joy of movement and the special atmosphere together. The bright lights, moonlight, and shared running experience provided both a sporting challenge and unforgettable entertainment.
