The first day of the Nyíregyháza Open World Ranking Athletics Tournament was marked by enthusiasm for the sport and outstanding results. Here are the key statistics and milestones that prove that the event was a unique success!

  • Dominik Illovszky - 60 m final: 6.71 (1092 points)
  • Dániel Eszes - 60 m hurdles final: 7.92 (1066 points)
  • Zalán Deák - 200 m short course: 21.56 (1050 points)
  • Dániel Gellért Huller - 800 m short course: 1:51.13 (1048 points)
  • Domian Dávid Stefan - 400 m short course: 48.40 (1017 points)
  • Dominik Pázmándi - 60 m final: 6.85 (1016 points)

Women:

  • Anna Tóth - 60 m hurdles final: 8.13 (1131 points)
  • Zita Szentgyörgyi - 300 m short course: 37.66 (1127 points)
  • Balaban Denisa - 60 m hurdles final: 8.32 (1089 points)
  • Petra Répási - 60 m hurdles final: 8.34 (1084 points)

Number of people and activity

  • 500+ entries, including 50 NYSC athletes.
  • Representing 48 clubs from Hungary and 18 from abroad
  • Thousands of bottles of VITAMIN WELL sold out.
  • Over 800 starts and many exciting races.

Live coverage and a crowd-pleaser

  • The live stream was viewed 5829 times.
  • The grandstands were packed with fans and the atmosphere was overwhelming.
  • Social media activity following the race was also outstanding, with over 100 likes on posts related to the event.

Acknowledgements

Thank you to all the athletes, coaches and supporters involved for contributing to the success of the event. The Nyíregyháza Open on 19 January was a real celebration for athletics and we look forward to the continuation on 9 February!
