The Nyíregyháza Athletics Center has just wrapped up three eventful days. On Friday evening, more than 2,000 people turned out for the 2nd VE-LED Run, and on Saturday and Sunday, U14, U15, and U16 athletes competed in the third round of the Eastern Region of the Regional League. A photo gallery was created for both events over the weekend.

Even before the weekend began, it was clear that many people would be visiting the facility on Tiszavasvári Road. Friday’s VE-LED Run and the two-day track and field competition that followed offered quite different programs, yet they coexisted harmoniously over the three days.

The program kicked off on Friday evening with the 2nd VE-LED Run. According to a report from the Nyíregyháza Sports Center, more than 2,000 people took part in the event. From the youngest participants to adults, many laced up their running shoes, with participants competing in 400-, 1,200-, and 3,000-meter races.

Once again, the run was accompanied by a spectacular evening program. Visitors were treated to an LED robot, an LED butterfly, a selfie booth, table soccer, face painting, and music, and the evening concluded with a raffle drawing. The fact that there were more than 2,000 participants alone demonstrates just how much interest the event generated.
