#ATLÉTAVAGYOK children's programme at the Nyíregyháza Athletics Centre!


On 18 and 19 February 2023 at the Nyíregyháza Athletic Centre - YOU ARE A SUPERHERO! #ATLÉTAVAGYOK - children's programme for children and their parents who want to move and learn about athletics!

A real morning family exercise programme for children to get to know athletics as the sport with the most important basic movements. They can show how good they are at running, hurdling, walking, throwing and jumping. They will be able to try their hand at live athletics on Saturday and Sunday mornings, where the 49th Hungarian Indoor Athletics Championships will begin a few hours later.

In the #ATLÉTAVAGYOK programme, children will show off their superpowers in the individual events under the supervision of professionals.  At the end of the morning, the most talented children's athlete in each event will be revealed.

The Hungarian Athletics Federation is looking forward to welcoming all children and their parents who want to move to the #ATLÉTAVAGYOK programme on Saturday 18 February 2023 between 10 am and 2 pm and Sunday 19 February 2023 between 9 am and 12 noon at the Nyíregyháza Athletics Centre.

AFTERNOON PROGRAMME:
In the afternoon, the athletes of the future can cheer on the athletes of the present at the 49th Hungarian Indoor Athletics Championships! 

You can cheer on, among others, weightlifter Anita Márton, the first and so far only world champion in Hungarian athletics. In an exciting race, Bálint Szeles, Dániel Eszes and Valdó Szűcs in the 60 m hurdles.  István Szögi broke the Hungarian indoor 1-mile record at the silver in Ostrava, and in Nyíregyháza they will compete with István Palkovits in the 1500 m.  Hanga Klekner will attempt to break the Hungarian indoor pole vault record, currently 451 cm.
