The 50th Hungarian Indoor Athletics Championships, to be held on 17 and 18 February 2024, will fill athletics lovers in Nyíregyháza with excitement and anticipation. The event is jointly organised by the Hungarian Athletics Federation and the Nyíregyháza Sports Centre Nonprofit Ltd. and aims to decide the indoor track and field championship titles.
The competition is not only a competition for talented athletes, but also an opportunity for the participants to win the title of "Hungary's Indoor Champion 2024". Medals will be awarded to the 1st - 3rd place winners of the championship, making it an outstanding event for both competitors and fans.The competition rules are available on the website of the Hungarian Athletics Federation.
The events will be varied and challenging in both the men's and women's categories. The men's races will include everything from short distances to longer distances, and there will also be a variety of technical events. The women's category is equally varied, with opportunities for all competitors to showcase their talent and stamina.
The special nature of the competition is further enhanced by the rule change that will come into force on 1 November 2023. This means that results in the 200m circuits, 200m and over running and walking events and the combined events will be considered as short track (short track in WA classification) results.
This will provide an additional challenge to the competitors and add a new dimension to the event.
Spectators will also have the opportunity to cheer on their own city's competitors. Nyíregyháza is proud to welcome the participation of Bence Boros, Péter Bakosi, Balázs Tóth, Petra Nyisztor, Dr. Abiwu-Türk Bettina, László Péter, Márk Vörös, Ernő Patrik Csikos, Dóra Bogár and they are looking forward to achieving excellent results representing their city.
