For almost three years, the Nyíregyháza Athletics Centre has provided an excellent training facility for the city's athletes, who train here every day for competitions. The athletes of the Nyíregyháza Sports Centre took tenth place at the athletics team championships held at the Lantos Mihály Sports Centre over the weekend.
The competition took place in three divisions, with the best teams in the first division competing against each other. Nyíregyháza Sportcentrum entered with 29 competitors and maintained their position from last year, avoiding elimination.
The team was also helped by outstanding individual performances, with Dóra Kerekes winning the gold medal in the women's discus throw and Balázs Tóth winning the men's weight throw. The season is now over for the adults, but the junior age group still has some major competitions to come.
