The Central European sporting world was enriched with a real gem when the Nyíregyháza Athletics Centre opened its doors.
This building complex, optimised primarily for athletics purposes, has not only been a success in Hungary, but is also a success beyond our borders. Sports clubs have recognised the complexity of the building and its excellent conditions, which serve the needs of athletes both for competitive training and for hosting prestigious international events.
The Athletics Hall, the outdoor competition track and the throwing training track are all facilities that provide the city's athletes with an ideal training and preparation environment. At the same time, these facilities are also suitable for the organisation of prestigious international competitions and the choice of the Nyíregyháza Athletics Centre as a training camp for national and international athletes.
The building's impressive WA 2 indoor Athletics Centre boasts a net floor area of nearly 12,000 square metres. In addition, fencing, judo and badminton sections have been added to the building, providing both junior and adult athletes with an excellent opportunity for their daily training and competition.
The year so far has already brought nearly 1000 guest nights for the Nyíregyháza Athletic Centre, and among the guests were famous athletes such as Luca Kozák and Anita Márton.
