There is no let-up at the Nyíregyháza Athletics Center, with competitors passing the baton to each other one after another. No sooner has the Nyíregyháza Open ended than another prestigious international event is coming up: on February 14–15, the Slovak Indoor Athletics Championships will bring the competitive spirit back to the arena.
On the first day of the two-day competition, the adult field will compete for the championship, while on Sunday, junior athletes will take to the track, including several up-and-coming talents. High-quality competitions and close finals are expected in the running and jumping events, as the future stars of Slovak athletics will be competing alongside the country's current elite.
The competition series does not end there: on February 21-22, the 2026 Hungarian Indoor U20 and U18 Athletics Championships will take place, followed by the 52nd Indoor Athletics Hungarian Championships and the Winter Throwing Hungarian Championships, so in the coming weeks, the Nyíregyháza Athletics Center will once again be one of the centers of domestic athletics.
